Our Story.

West Coast Event Medical Services (West Coast EMS) was established in 2013; when a team of the most experienced First Aiders, First Responders and Emergency Medical Technicians joined together to provide the best standard of first aid and medical cover to Scotland’s events industry.

West Coast EMS was born in Scotland’s original superclub – The Arches, where we worked with some of the world’s top DJs and Europe’s biggest club nights. This is where we pioneered our Nightclub Medical provision, in close partnership with Police Scotland and the NHS. Having studied similar provisions and the gaps they left in the vital safety net we set out to fill that gap and enhance the service. Our provisions consisted of First Responders, EMTs, clinical support workers, welfare and drugs workers – all with additional specific training and experience. This put us at the forefront of nightclub medical provision within Scotland.

Since our beginnings, where we worked solely in the Nighttime economy we have quite vastly expanded into the Event Industry as a whole as well as Film and TV cover and Specialist Sporting Event Cover.

We invest our profits back into regular staff training and our equipment to ensure we consistently provide the highest and safest standard of care within our scope.

Our Passion. Our Mission.

Our Aim is to improve the safety of events for all involved; whilst using enhanced provisions to reduce or eliminate, where possible – any impact the event may have on local NHS and statutory services.

Our Mission is to continue providing our unrivalled, high quality, reliable and trusted service

We do not think Event Medical and First Aid should be about ticking a box with minimum acceptable levels. Our provisions are tailored and specific to each individual event. We supplement all deployments, even the most basic –  with highly experienced, highly skilled staff members with enhanced scope to increase the level of care available to patients on site.

In addition to event medical and first aid experience – the majority of our team are current or previous NHS/Ambulance staff; and bring a wealth of additional knowledge gained from this.

We provide respect, dignity and privacy to all; maintaining the highest levels of care following national clinical guidelines and policy.
