Ice Rink Medical Cover.
Specialist cover for seasonal and permanent ice rinks, from public skating sessions to ice hockey and figure skating events.
Our first responders and emergency medical technicians provide an enhanced level of medical care to ice rinks. Ice injuries are distinctive: falls at speed onto a hard, cold surface produce fractures, head injuries and spinal risks that basic first aid cover is not equipped to manage safely.
Our staff are fully trained and very experienced in spinal immobilisation, splinting and the extrication of patients from ice. They come fully equipped with an array of emergency life-saving equipment: oxygen, pain relief (Entonox), cardiac and vitals monitoring, spinal immobilisation and moving and handling kit.
Our EMTs are an ideal addition to basic first aiders and first responders on site, providing a clinician-led service with an enhanced level of care, and reassurance in the event of potential claims.
We can provide one-off cover for seasonal rinks and events, or regular contracted cover for permanent venues.
