Who we are

This website, www.westcoastems.co.uk, is owned and operated by West Coast Event Medical Services Ltd, trading as West Coast EMS (“we”, “us”, “our”). We are the data controller for the personal information described in this policy. You can contact us about anything in this policy at info@westcoastems.co.uk or on 0141 345 5794.

What information we collect

We collect personal information only when you choose to give it to us:

• Enquiry form: your name, company or organisation, telephone number, email address, the type of enquiry and the details of your message, including any event information you include.
• Direct contact: if you phone, email or message us on WhatsApp, we receive the contact details and content you send.
• Technical data: our hosting provider keeps standard, short-lived server logs (such as IP address and pages requested) for security and to keep the site running. We do not use these to identify visitors.

This website does not set advertising or analytics cookies, and we do not run any tracking of visitors.

How we use your information

We use the information you send us to respond to your enquiry, prepare quotes, plan and deliver the services you ask about, and keep records of our correspondence. Our legal basis under UK data protection law is our legitimate interest in responding to enquiries about our services and, where you go on to book us, the performance of a contract. We do not use your information for marketing and we never sell it to anyone.

Who we share it with

We use a small number of service providers to run this website and our communications:

• FormSubmit delivers our enquiry form submissions to our mailbox.
• Vercel hosts this website.
• Hostinger hosts our email.
• WhatsApp (Meta) processes messages you choose to send us there, under its own privacy policy.

These providers process data on our behalf and may do so outside the UK; where they do, transfers are covered by their standard safeguards. Beyond this, we only disclose personal information where the law requires it.

How long we keep it

We keep enquiry correspondence for as long as needed to deal with your enquiry and for a reasonable period afterwards, and booking records for as long as we need them to meet our legal, insurance and accounting obligations. Information we no longer need is deleted.

Your rights

Under UK data protection law you have the right to ask us for a copy of the personal information we hold about you, to have it corrected or deleted, to object to or restrict our use of it, and to data portability. To exercise any of these rights, email info@westcoastems.co.uk. You also have the right to complain to the Information Commissioner's Office (ICO) at ico.org.uk.

Patient information at events

Clinical records created when we treat patients at events are handled separately from this website, under our clinical governance procedures and national guidelines, with strict confidentiality. This policy covers our website and business enquiries.
